The expert I admire in the area I study is Marie Curie. She was born in Varsovia in November 7, 1867. She was a French nationalized Polish
scientist Pioneer in the field of radioactivity. In her doctoral tesis, she specifically studied the so-called “Becquerel rays” (radiation of an unknown
nature, emitted spontaneously by some metals such as uranium). This
investigation led to the Discovery o fan unknown metal, wich her decided to
call “polonium” based on the name of Marie’s country of origin.
The Discovery of radius soon had important consequences, both
in practical medicine and in theoretical physics. What we today call “radiotherapy”,
that is, the application of radioactivity to the sick human body, by means of
the radio element, allows the fight against certain malignant tumors (“destructive
radiotherapy”) and also inflammatory or degenerative type alterations, especially
on the skin, some internal organs and joints (“functional radiation therapy”).
I admire her because she was the first person to receive two
Nobel prizes in different specialties (Physics and Chemistry) and the first
woman to hold the position of the professor at the University of Paris.
She was also one of the few women to receive a Nobel Prize in
science by herself and not accompanied by a man.

Marie Curie is the one of the best scientific! his work is amazing, she died like a heroine!
